Alistair MacLeod receives the Order of Canada

Yay!!!

Alistair MacLeod received the Order of Canada today at Rideau Hall from the Governor General Michaelle Jean.

This warms my heart very much. His novel "No Great Mischief," one of my all-time favourites, was a highly influential work on my debut release "theroadinbetween."

It is so great to see Alistair MacLeod receive his due!
